Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman says that by 2020 Ukraine should withdraw its full support of the whole country with domestically produced gas.
The Prime Minister said, congratulating the workers of oil, gas and petrochemical industry on their professional holiday, reports the government’s press service.

“One of the most important tasks of government is to achieve Ukraine’s energy independence from foreign importers. Today introduced reforms and measures that will allow in 2020 to reach its full support of the whole country with domestically produced gas. This is an ambitious goal, but with the parallel introduction of complex programs on energy efficiency and energy saving in our power to achieve it”, – said Groisman.
The Prime Minister reminded that the oil and gas industry has traditionally been a strategic sector within the national economy. The state of Affairs in the industry depends on the development of the national economy, because it does, in fact, on most spheres of material production in the country and on it depends the welfare of all citizens.

“In the interests of the whole country – to provide continuous development and modernization of oil, gas and petrochemical industry, to introduce new standards in control, to neutralize the risks of corruption, strengthen the policy of energy integration with the countries of the European Union”, – said Groisman.
He wished the workers of oil, gas and petrochemical industry good health, professional growth, prosperity and harmony.
“I believe that together we will make a big change. Wish you success and victories!”, – added the head of government.
