The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his visit to Washington, met with the Minister of energy of the USA Rick Perry. About it reported in a Twitter press Secretary of the President Svyatoslav Tsigalko.
He posted a photo as the President with the Ukrainian delegation met with the Americans.
“The President began the day in Washington with a meeting with the Minister of energy of the United States. Further talks at the White house,” wrote Tsigalko.

As reported by Poroshenko himself on his page in Facebook, the Minister of energy of the USA, they discussed the implementation of joint projects in nuclear energy, the extraction of energy in Ukraine, as well as the possible supply of alternative fuels, particularly liquefied natural gas from the United States.
They also spoke about strengthening European energy security, in particular in the context of the possibilities of modernization and development of transit capacities of Ukraine and implementation of the new European transport and energy projects.
“Thank you to the American side for their considerable practical assistance in strengthening energy security of Ukraine”, – wrote the President of Ukraine.
As expected, after this meeting, Poroshenko will travel to the White house, where he will meet Vice-President Mike Pence, after which they will go to the Oval office to the American head of state Donald Trump.
