The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko did not offer the acting head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakov Smoliy become the permanent head of the national Bank. About that resin told reporters on the sidelines of the annual research conference organized by the NBU in cooperation with the National Bank of Poland.
“No, I haven’t spoken with the President on this issue”, – said the acting head of the NBU.
When this resin has predicted that the permanent head of the NBU can appear either before the recess, that is, until mid-July or after holidays, in September.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada freed Valeria Gontareva as head of the National Bank of Ukraine only after we find her successor, said earlier the head of the BPP Arthur Gerasimov.

According to the Constitution, the head of the NBU is appointed by the Verkhovna Rada on representation of the President for a period of 7 years. Gontareva holds the position of head of the NBU almost 3 years.
Gontareva has previously stated that he had discussed possible candidates for the post of head of the NBU Poroshenko in January.
