Avakov on re-taking her driving license: No “every 5 years” will not

The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov said that the Ukrainian drivers don’t have to take the exam for the right driving vehicle every five years. About this he wrote on Facebook in response to the review the network user.

On the question of the user of the social network, is it true that the Deputy head of the interior Ministry Deeva proposes to appoint the procedure peredachi rights every five years, Avakov said: “There is a world practice on licences and we will stick to it. No “every 5 years” will not. There are existing legal norms.”

Recall, as was stated by the Deputy Minister of internal Affairs Anastasia Deeva, to the Law of Ukraine “On road traffic” prepared some edits. In particular, we are talking about a significant reduction of the period of validity of the driving license and the implementation of microchips.

Today, the national driving licence entitles you to drive for 30 years from the date of its receipt. The new rules will establish a new time – from 5 to 15 years depending on the category of vehicle for the purpose of periodic testing of knowledge and skills.
