The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed decree №9/2017 “On awarding Vladimir Zhemchugova the title Hero of Ukraine”, the press service of the President on Sunday morning.
“The head of state gave the hero a medal “gold Star” during a ceremony on the occasion of day of Conciliarity of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.
“As an active member of the resistance movement to Russian occupation it (V. Suchugov – if) spent 30 special operations to destroy military targets of the enemy and of the personnel of the occupation forces. When you try a hostile takeover, Vladimir Pavlovich decided to blow themselves up, resulting in seriously injured,” – said P. Poroshenko.

Press service informs that in the period from 28 December 2014 to 24 September 2015 V. Pearl spent 30 special operations to destroy military targets of the enemy and of the personnel of the occupation forces. Among the performed operations damage to nine areas of railway tracks that were used by the enemy for transportation of arms, military equipment and ammunition from the territory of the Russian Federation to the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions; withdrawal of four power lines, three gas distribution stations and transformer substations; destruction of military vehicles and personnel of the illegal armed groups. His selfless actions in the enemy’s rear was particularly successful and timely during the defense of debaltseve.
