In September-November 2016 Ukraine supplied to foreign markets is 32% more sunflower oil than in the same period last marketing period. This informs the analyst of the agrarian market Stanislav Yarosh, reports “ProAgro”.
Key importers of sunflower oil of Ukrainian origin remain India and China, which collectively account for almost half of its foreign shipments.
Sunflower seeds and sunflower meal/cake from the beginning of the 2016/17 MG went most often to neighboring countries – Belarus, Poland and Turkey. But the largest importer of sunflower seeds of Ukrainian origin in September-October 2016/17 MG was France (around 53% of total shipments)
In the TOP 5 producers of crude sunflower oil fell (as a share in total exports): kernel of 22.8%, Bunge Ukraine – 10,6%, Cargill – 5,9%, Allseeds – 4,5%, MHP – 4,5%.
As reported, Ukraine became the absolute leader in the supply of sunflower oil in India – the share of Ukrainian oil in the Indian market already exceeds 93%. Overall, Asia accounts for over 60% of exports of Ukrainian sunflower oil.
