For the first 10 months of this year Ukraine exported Christmas ornaments 4.5 million dollars, which is 16.7% more than last year. This was announced by Deputy Minister of economic development and trade, trade representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolskiy.
Ukrainian toys present in the markets of 25 countries and their exports growing, Gaina said on his page on Facebook.
According to her, 90.6% of export of Christmas decorations are glass, other decorations are 9.4% of exports.
“The main market is EU countries. The market of these countries for 10 months of the year 2016 exported 62,3% of the total amount of Christmas decorations. The total volume of deliveries to EU countries increased by 31.7%. Among the 5 largest consumer markets – 3 EU countries (the Netherlands, Germany and Poland)” – said Gaina.
In addition to significantly increased exports for the 10 months in Canada (at 13.9 times), Belarus (5.1%), Italy (3.1%), Moldova (2.9 times ), USA (2.7%) and Switzerland (2.6 times). In 2016 there are new markets – Turkey, Maldives, Czech Republic, Spain, Ireland, Azerbaijan and Iceland.
“At the same time, when the largest consumption market of our Christmas decorations, namely the market of the Russian Federation in the current year decreased by 54.4 per cent and was only 632,3 thousand dollars,” said Gaina it.
