The US does not plan to lift sanctions against Russia in the Crimea, said press Secretary of the White house Sean Spicer.
“Regarding sanctions, we are dealing with two packages. One relates to the Crimea. I think that the Ambassador (of the United States at the UN Nikki) Haley very clearly expressed this in the UN is that Russia is not leaving Crimea, about these sanctions, we are not talking,” said Spicer.
However, he declined to comment on submitted a bill to Congress that impede the lifting of sanctions.
Recall Nikki Haley during his first speech said that sanctions against Russia should be in force until Moscow will give Ukraine control of Crimea.
Also note that recently the White House said that Russia has occupied the Crimea.
